Ammar Nawaz - VP, Distributed Energy Solutions - Alectra Energy Solutions
Ammar Nawaz is a driven energy professional, commercial growth leader, and technical expert with over a decade of hands-on electricity industry experience, including enterprise strategy development, new venture commercial growth, M&A, and regulatory reform initiatives to facilitate utility business transformation. He is an Electrical Engineer, and also holds a Masters in Laws (LL.M) in Energy & Infrastructure. Ammar also serves as a Director on the Energy Storage Canada (ESC) Board, and the former Chair of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) West Toronto.
James Coombes - Commercial Project Developer, Ygrene Energy Fund
James has been financing infrastructure for 28 years – initially telecom and wireless in the 1990s, and then renewable energy and commercial real estate for the past 14 years. He works with a range of developers, commercial and industrial property owners, and niche sectors including agriculture, winery and nonprofit organizations. At Ygrene he focuses on finance property upgrades and recapitalizations for a range of commercial real estate owners.
